Dr. Charlie Hughes, DMD

Originally from Dyersburg, TN. Dr. Charlie Hughes earned his dental degree and completed a specialized residency in pediatric dentistry at The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.

Dr. Hughes is passionate about helping children and families achieve healthy, happy smiles. With a gentle approach and a fun, friendly style, Dr. Hughes is committed to making every dental visit a positive experience. He is experienced in providing comprehensive dental care for infants, children, teens, and patients with special healthcare needs. Dr. Hughes believes in working closely with parents to create personalized treatment plans and is dedicated to patient education and preventive care.

Outside the office, Dr. Hughes enjoys spending time with family, cooking delicious meals with his wife, traveling and exploring the outdoors, and is thrilled to be part of the Mule Town Pediatric Dentistry family.

Dr. Ian Turchan, DMD

Dr. Ian Turchan comes to us from the University of Michigan, followed by the University of Florida.

His passion is creating a fun and carefree environment for every child who walks through the door, while excelling in preventative care, vital pulp therapy, and sedation dentistry.

In his free time, Dr. Ian enjoys listening to live music with his wife, trying new coffee shops, and staying active by playing basketball and going to the gym.


Dr Amanda Weigt

Dr. Amanda graduated from Soddy Daisy High School, just a couple hours southeast of us in Soddy Daisy, TN!
She obtained her undergraduate degrees in both Sports Medicine and Exercise Science from Samford University. She went on to complete dental school at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry.

Dr. Amanda completed an AEGD residency with the United States Air Force in Texas and then served four more years active duty in GA.

Both her parents and grandfathers served their country so she decided to stay in the USAF Reserve and has now served almost 22 years with no end in sight. She is now a Lieutenant Colonel.

Dr. Amanda moved back to TN in 2019 with her husband, Sean, and their two children, Riley & Finnpatrick.
When Dr. Amanda isn’t busy cheering her kiddos on, in their many sporting events, she loves DIY home renovations, reading, CrossFit and spending time with friends and family!
